April 17th - Day 1 in Cusco

            We arrived to Cusco early Sunday morning.  We met our host families and headed to where we will be staying for the week.  After getting settled with our families and resting for a short period of time, we headed into the city of Cusco.   The Cusco Rotary Club hosted us for a short amount of time this morning where we first got to visit their Rotary House.  They use this house for various purposes.  For example, this morning we got to see how they use this house to offer various medical clinics to the people of Cusco, especially children.  

            We then left there and headed to Saqsayhuaman and Q’engo.  These are two ancient Inca sites that are breathtaking when you think about what the Incas had to go through to construct these two places.  We all found these places very fascinating and beautiful.  We then headed back to spend the afternoon and evening with our host families and take some time rest.
